Some stuffed eggs ( with tuna fish, and pickle, and some home made mayonnaise)for a starter.
Beaf soup with root vegetables.
beef stew with barley pearl grits
Chopped Liver -onion salad.
Eggplat salad
Green salad
Freash fruit
And some nice cake.

I pay for my layer feed (17% protein) 0.24 cent/pound if I bye it in 55 pound sack and 19 cen/pound for one ton! What is the average price of commercial layer feed in the U.S?

To be honest, if I didn't have delivery and fuel charge, it would be cheaper. Also, if I dropped the protein down to a standard 15-16% I could get it down to around 9 cents a pound. Just personal preference on building a solid feed ration. I usually have 2 tons of this feed and then the rest of the truck is for the cattle.

Yes thank you. I was trying to locate feed mill from Google. Found one place in Elk Grove that's for horses I was going to call them and see what they had

If they are milling feed then they should have everything.

Best per 50# bag price I can find is .30 cents per pound. Going to try mixing grains suggested by fire370 and see what I could come up with.

Most commercial feeds are diets built by a nutritionist and usually from an ag research university. Same thing with cattle, hogs, etc. It's all about ROR. Eat less, poop less, grow faster without excessive fat.

My cattle diets are going to vary from the guy down the road. Make sense? Plus I may tweak my diets from what is provided.

This 2 comes with my Mother in low!
The egg plant salad is a old Russian recipe it include frying the eggplant onion, then pass them trough a food processor with red sweet peppers, garlic, some herbs ( dill, parsley) salt pepper, and than slow kook the mass for 1-1.5 ours. Very very tasty!
Chopped liver
fry chicken liver with onions salt pepper and some chopped garlic.
Then you should process them with some boiled egg trough the food processor!

Great hatch threw one egg out!!! 8 more in the bator two hatched 6 pips waiting! DIRTY EGG QUICK HATCH!!! so many at once the cooler was soaked!! noisy lil bustards too!!! listen when I threw in the brooder!!
