Good morning all! Woke up to 4 more poults in the bator, which brings me to 10 so far. The last 3 hopefuls are pipped and wiggling my 5 week old silkies are taking turns caring for the poults in the brooder while my NYD HAL BCM chicks are enforcing the rules lol. I need to go get another heat lamp tonight so I can get my big brooder set up and move some of these guys out there. It's just SO cold out!

These are 100% lousy photos but I guess that's not what a tablet is designed for.

X2... The broody beams from Sourland still have not gotten here, but guess it's tough getting BSL to go broody. I think he misfired the broody GPS and it hit me a while ago.... Got a BO and a BSL broody!

Jack's quail eggs are liable to be hatched & laying eggs of their own before he gets the rails if we don't soon get out of here. The plow guy called a bit ago & said his truck won't handle the snow; he's going to bring his bucket, sometime today....maybe....., hopefully.....we'll see.....believe it when I see it.

Yes they are feathering in nicely. Was surprised at how fast they are feathering in. The boy loves to hold them and get s a kick out of them peeping at him and them trying to eat his fingers. The daughter loves to pet them and giggles about it every time she touches one.
