@Sally Sunshine yes it a br. One week old. The second wing is behind the head so it looks odd.
@LocalYokel :) glad he is making it.
The ankle is sore tonight after being up too much and  rolling out a round bale. I am just glad I pushed it up off its flat spot Sunday and had it ready to go so I only had to make it go one and a half. Way too hard on my good leg to baby the other.

@Sally Sunshine my brother, husband, uncle, and dad are all in the HVAC business they had a discussion on it and I think I ended up with a digital one. I definitely was not going to put my two cents into that conversation.

lmao I guess not!! hahahhahha

MC, you might appreciate this one: When my GS was about 2 years old, we passed a dairy farm. The cows were out to pasture, and they were a long ways off, so they looked pretty small. He looked across that field, and got all excited when he saw the black and white animals grazing. "PUPPIES!" he yelled!
I thought by GS you meant German Shepard until I read what he said.....

You should be hiding....

....Sally gets three hugs and I only get one! A bit jelly here!

Jus got home basically, and all the chicken stuff done.

Found a dead meatie, still warm and limp.

dunt wanna waste it so i processed it and Im gunna feed it to the dogs, NO organ meat tho
Oh no...

I'm back! If this little Call duck make it (I don't want to jinx it), should I give it Corid or something to prevent cocci? I've never done this with my chicks, but it was suggested recently, and I wondered if I should do it with this duckling.
I'm not sure about the story behind this duckling, but I know medicated (amprolium) chick starters are not good for ducklings. Makes them Niacin deficient, so I'm not sure if Corid is a good idea. They should have some extra B vitamins though....

didnt Joey think it was a male? wings look female but can they wing sex can I see its legs colors

@kwhites634 the chicks leg has not healed. I keep paper take over the leg because since she holds it up and it is off colored without tape the others peck it or even grab it and pull her. It is sad. I don't think it will ever be right.

yes if they are still loose you will have to teeter totter gently and if rolling dont turn at all.

DETACHED AIR CELLS & LOOSE/Saddle AIR CELLS how to incubate? post #34107 post #42515
you better save the hugs, he will need them when he dont win salt and peppa shakes
@Sally Sunshine Follow up question: Most of them are saddle, but not loose at all. Can I turn those? (I have good notes on what all the air cells looked like upon arrival, so I already know which ones were loose, or jiggly, or rolling to start)

Also, I am assuming I should candle them from the top without moving them if possible? (Gotta figure out if I can turn separately in this bator, as the auto turner turns the whole thing.)

Would you advise moving them from the little rail rows and into cartons with holes in the bottom (if I can fit the cartons)? If so - is an old, visually clean paper carton that I had saved from farmers market bought eggs ok?

Thanks!!!
