Last hatch was a bust, only shipped eggs involved. Didn't have much hope for them when they were set. Have some in lockdown now. Either they're rocking or I'm seeing things

Replaced a dead heating element in a backup bat or and I'm testing it out now. The chicken addiction is growing in my family. My sister has leghorns and jersey giants arriving next week. And mom has jumped on the bandwagon now and ordered cackle hatchery's surprise special for March.

I have to go feed the horses in a minute, but before I go, I have a very serious question. Do you people who prefer, (insist), that the toilet paper go under, do you snap gate locks like this? And those of you who prefer the toilet paper to go over, do you snap the locks like this? (As they should be). Been wondering that since yesterday and had to take these pictures today rather than try to explain that! So help me out on this....

Im getting pheasants and quail. Going to hold off on the peas till I get a better pen built for them.

I think thats a good idea! they need a bigger area for sure

I'm not sure about the story behind this duckling, but I know medicated (amprolium) chick starters are not good for ducklings. Makes them Niacin deficient, so I'm not sure if Corid is a good idea. They should have some extra B vitamins though....

I'll be giving it Brewers yeast. I probably won't give it anything for cocci. I didn't for the ducks I raised last year. It's just had a rough start, and I want to do everything I can to help it if it makes it out if the incubator.
I never had cocci in ducks, just the anggel wing issue from too much protien

I would gentle turn them by hand, its gonna be a pain in the tush but I think its better for them until you candle day 7 or 10

Gentle turn after 24 hours upright, right? (Per shipped egg info...) OK, so since I have to work during the day, It'll have to be right before leaving for work, right when getting home, and before bed. Would that be ok?
