I managed to squeeze 50 eggs into each tray this time, achieving the Brinsea Ova Easy 100 suggested limit. These eggs come from my own layers, who are first generation offspring of pure Black Copper Marans Roosters mated with a dual purpose bird resembling a Red Sexlink. These birds are inbreeds, as they are mating with their own fathers. The oldest layer is ~34 weeks old, the youngest only 24 weeks.

And here it is all set up and running.

My expected hatch date is 2/20. I'm running at 99.6F, and 50% RH.

My incubator has arrived, and there are two cracks in the lid.

Now what?
It is plugged in, and I am getting it up to temp. Do I ignore the cracks if the incubator gets to temp, or demand a new lid regardless?
You didn't pay for an incubator with a cracked lid... so I'd be calling the seller as soon as possible. Did it come from Incubator Warehouse? If so, they'll send you another lid. I almost missed the NYD HAL because of a faulty power supply, but one quick phone call to IW, and a new one was sent quickly... just in time for the HAL. They have great customer service, and will answer any questions you might have about the incubator, such as settings that aren't in the feeble instructions.

ok need some help trouble shooting what I did wrong with this hatch please. Hatching in a lg fan forced
Ambient temp is 70 with 35% humidity

2 due today were early quitters while the 1 hatched 2 days early, eggs were set same day they were laid. Temps and humidity were stable according to both the digital built in and the accurite ad 99.5-100with 1 drop to 97 for about 2 hours, humidity was running 30-35% on dry method until lock down when increased it to about 50% which cause several temp spikes to 106-109 that caught with in the hour and cooled down. one died at day 15 the other at looks like 18 or 19 , was manually turning them 3 times a day. Chicks are out of my own flock that is healthy.

7 are now in lock down for the hatch Tuesday some of the darker eggs still can't see good in

Well, I started the hatch that just finished at 35%, and after 24 hours I weighed the egg trays again and they had lost far more weight than they should have. Bumped it up to 42% for Day 1, and they were still losing way too much weight. In the end I wobbled up and down but came to the conclusion I just should have started at 50%.

If you can weigh all the eggs at one time with something that is reasonably accurate, you need to lose 0.67% of their original body weight per day.

I am sorry to say that they don't have respect to the animal that they eat! Whay to throw, the liver? The heart? The bons? The spleen? The gizzard? You can do alot of delicious and nutrias dishes from them!

X2. Don't think respect is present even if they did eat all the other stuff you mention. We don't eat that here and it bothers me a bit. But I was more concerned with the heathy aspect of it.

We do all this parts and we are not less halty then you, and if there is a healt problem it will affect every part if the bird!

The paperwork doesn't give any customer service information, and the website only gave an email address saying I must send this lid back before they give me another one.
I love the candler though! Even in the light, you can see veins and movement!

This is my dream incubator for the future :drool I was just wondering do the egg trays come with dividers? Can you not fit as many in with the dividers? Good luck with your incubation :fl
