Excessive candling could lead to excessive egg breaking, but it doesn't have to, and it might lead to excessive understanding of how eggs develop, so, I say, if you don't drop them, go ahead and candle to your heart's content. Just make sure that eggs are never out of the bator for more than 30 mins a day...and if you wake up with an egg and a lit flashlight in your hand, you are candling at the wrong time.
