Eekkk I'm in the ER with possible appendix issues I'm so worried about my eggs. :-(will they be OK if they don't get turned?

How old are the eggs? I would reccomend calling someone to turn them just in case. But depending on age they could be fine left alone.

I'm a Baytril fan, but Denagard and Tylan are good for certain things. The bacteria I worry about are pseudomonas aeruginosa and E.coli, so I like having something that will treat both of them.

I won't use Baytril. Long story short, it's a Fluoroquinolone antibiotic which is basically like chemo. I'm permanently disabled from taking a Fluoroquinolone when I was 16. I suppose if I was desperate I might give it to one, but honestly I'd probably cull first.

My old fat weenie dog just ate 2 of my three month old chicks that i just put out in my big pen.

This has been going on for a while, so I think we need to put him down. That also means that I need to get a new dog. You guys have any recommendations for the best dog with the chickens?
I'm so sorry....I hope you rehome him, rather than put him down.

I have an Akita/Lab mix that when I move the chicks from the incubator to the brooder, I let her smell and lick them. When I buy chicks, I do the same thing. One baby chick squeezed out of the brooder and landed on the floor. My dog nosed it over to my folks saying, look what I found. The next time it squeezed out, the cats found it first. It was not the same happy ending. She does like to charge up to the chicken run fence, and sit there until all the chickens come over and start pecking her nose, then she moves and gets the chickens to follow her. They are the only ones around that play with her. I don't think she would ever hurt them.
