What a day. Had feeding chores done by sun up. And then decided to build another overflow coop. 4 or 5 months ago I came up with a never used shipping crate for free, just had to go pick it up. It measured 16' long x 3.5' wide x 3' tall with 16' x 3' dividers on the inside spaced at 6", all 3/4 plywood. Base was (3) 2x4 skidders, 4x4 spacers and then a 2x6 floor. Stripped the crate and split the floor at 8' and tied them together making a 7'x8' floor. Leveled it out on blocks and went to town on it. It is complete and already has chickens roosting in it. Then we got a very good start on getting everybody split back up and into their breeding pens. Still got a little work left to do there tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm gonna hit the drink.
