The male chick have a yellow bright shanks, the females are much darker, and have a black wash on the front of their shanks.

But you can by the spots on their heads!!!!

No. head spots mean nothing with barred rocks. They all have head spots. You can read article after article on trying to sex them by how dark the head spot is, leg coloring etc. It's all a guess until they get older and the feather color starts to come out.

I have also hatched Muscovy and they aren't that difficult for me.

I haven't had any luck with Muscovies yet. They've all been shipped eggs though. Now mine are starting to lay, so I'm hopeful. I did eggtopsies with my last hatch, and the humidity was too high. I'm hoping the next hatch will go better. The only duck eggs I've tried to hatch are Muscovies and Calls.

She's being a sissy lately. She gets anything on her hands, she wants to wipe them on me. Except poop. The grossest thing there is, and she isn't afraid to have it on her hands. I am raising an odd duck... ling.

Mine was between 40-50%, and it was too high.
