INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

Currently have 200 eggs hatching (heard a lot of peeping this morning before I left for work) and 515 more in the incubators for the next 2 weeks. I will be loading another 300 or so tonight.

I don't have any pips; haven't had any since September. I'm beginning to think they're all dead.

Burn a candle for a few minutes, then, dip your finger in the melted wax and smear a thin layer across the crack. I actually hatched one I had given a significant crack to. You'll need to keep a close eye on her during hatch but, sealing the crack protects them from bacteria. Here she is today- our beautiful Bielefelder girl, Kirby

Thanks Shellie. I thought about doing that but I think all the candles I have are scented and I wasn't sure if they could be toxic to the bird in the egg. But everything else I thought about sealing it with I know is toxic so... I'll try something. I might be able to find something around here. The last cracked egg I had (1st hatch ever) hatched without intervention, but I may try to seal this one.

Actually, an aunt is coming over in about two hours to take her to a party. I'll have a few hours to sleep. Duckling will be missing her nap. Ha ha! Good luck to them! She gets nasty when she's tired!

awesome!!! what breed did you set last night?

Just the usual barnyard mix. My EE rooster that I had decided to get too mean a couple weeks ago (he became dinner) so his DNA is slowly being phased out and now I just have the Cream Brabanter rooster on those hens. Hens are RIR, SLW, BA, and EE. Barnyard mutts with hairdos it is

Their defense needs a boost, & a few receivers need super glue. Rodgers is still the best QB in the league for my money; phenomenal arm. Did better when McCarthy started calling the plays again.
