Hi Paddler, because she would sooner spend the money from a turner on something else perhaps? She tends to do that, spends money on kids and everyone else and not on anything else. Plus If I had turners I would put them in the cabinet coolers anyways, I do have one but no sense in one in the cooler, and its buried in a closet with the other styrobators.

I was asleep when DH got home (men's group) but I heard him say "you and I have differing opinions on where farm animals live" because they were right inside the front door.

Today I told him the names and he said we should have waited, to put it to a vote on the camp fb page. That sounds like he's committed to keeping them.

I moved them to the back porch where they'll stay for a while. I can't get Charlie to drink milk, but Champ didn't want much either. They have water, hay, and grain in their crate. They seem pretty happy with that. I'm still going to try three bottles a day, on the advice of my farm neighbor. She stopped by last night for about an hour.

Champ weighs 13.4 lbs.

Charlie weighs 11.8 lbs.
awwwwwww so cute!

:hugs    Sweet Banti!!  I pray she does too!!! :hugs I miss your bubbly posts all the time Love, I cant wait when your hatch is over and pray you be back to shine with us again :hugs

Kathy, I would keep the stones in the water wells and keep water up top until lockdown.  I never used those water wells during incubation.   @Jessimom
if you must use them I guess try distilled water?  your water come from a well or city?
did you put marbles in the waterer?  or clean pebbles?  they shouldnt get wet with them in it???
@chicken hawk 33

Keep them upright when you open them, air cell up and candle same way.  set in egg carton and get to room temp, then set the eggs in the bator.  Depending on air cells you shouldnt turn....  please read this...  and you seen the other duck info? @CyndiD

Morning all. Freezing rain here. Waiting till the temp warms up a bit before taking to the highway! Even got hubby doing the same! Getting antsy for hatching. May try some duck eggs from the local health food store. As well as some brown ones (just for grins and giggles). Hope to make new bator, then set sometime in March.

Sally, where did you get those pronged egg holders that you show in your coolerbator? You have a manual tilter, yes? I'm debating on making a slider to turn eggs, or doing a tilter. Either one will be manual. Weighing options re: using dbl light bulbs vs other heat source in dorm fridgeabator. All suggestions entertained!
the link is in the OP lg, I think cutlers supply sells them too, mine were used. @lazy gardener

Afternoon folks. Was sick yesterday and still icky today. Sun is out and it's cold but pretty out. How's everyone.
I feel your pain, hope your feeling better now!

Didn't plan to disappear on you guys last night, but the sleet & ice collecting on the face of the dish finally killed the signal; not the 1st time it's happened.

I had a stroke of genius this morning. I figured I'd have to go out in the sleet & rain to throw warm water on the dish, which is on a 4-5' post, close to the back of the house. I noticed it was also not far from the kitchen window, so I extended the spray tube in the faucet as far as it would go, waited for the water to warm up, & cleared enough ice off the dish to ge a signal, & here I am.

I'm so brilliant sometimes that I scare myself

I hope Craigslist works today. I sure hope this is three and with me still gimpy and him hurt I can somehow get him in the trailer after work.
Hope you all have great days.

dax you cant process him yourself? or ask someone for help? so sorry your going through all this crud
