The general answer is 99.5 - 100.5 degrees F. There are more specific situations that change that, i.e. wonky thermos or breed of eggs. If you calibrated and have a fan then 100 is a safe spot to aim.

I have a fan in my hova bator, I try to keep around 99.5

Well that was awkward, I have to learn not to reply on my own quote

I have had so many temp swings on this set of eggs, I feel like I have been tied down worrying about children again even though mine are grown. I lock down today, I think I have eight silkies going strong. I set 18 eggs and had 10 clear, the only one I am worried about is the one that was upside down the first ten days

. I left the clears in to help hold my temps that have been so unstable the last few days. I guess I should take them out before I lock down. My Son in law already has a thermostat ready to install before I hatch again

I am pretty sure they are tired of me saying I can't come over and watch the baby because my incubator is acting crazy.

I worked there (well at LA children's hospital which is part of USC ) for a bit when I first came to the U.S., but now my eldest is there studying architecture. She totally LOVES it, especially being part of the marching band.
What did you study?

She's in the band? Outstanding!!! Best band in college football!

Architecture! That was a 5 year program when I was there- you must be very proud! I was an athlete (there to play soccer ( but also walked on to the tennis team) and red shirted one year. I had taken classes in HS that gave me some credits in college. I finished my first degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology. I still had two years left so I went I to Dental Hygiene. I was on faculty in the dental school... I might go back to teaching sometime.

@Sally Sunshine- I glossed over your ideas for my new hutch but my brain was busy battling a crappy day. Start to finish it sucked! I'm just winding down now and it's midnight. I'll read it slowly again in the morning... Thank you for taking the time!
