Hi everyone! Still haven't caught up on all the reading. I've learned about more diseases and chicken ailments on these pages....Newcastle and Crook Neck....how common are these things?
I have never had mites or worms or sneezes. I've had hurt feet and stuck eggs. But now I'm paranoid! I feel bad for everyone with sick chicks!! Glad for those that they treated and made it!

I love all the pictures of the cute chicks!! Keep those coming!

As for updates....

I actually had 2 hatch on day 23/24. I had to assist both. One really didn't seem like it was going to make it, but I hobbled it's legs for a couple of days. It got loose this morning and it seems to be 95% better. It still can't really move it's right wing and it's pretty wobbly, but it's keeping both legs underneath. The other is doing great. I hope they both make it!! The rest were DIS. I don't have the heart to eggtopsy them.

Hatch update:

Jessimom aka Kathy 9 Buff Brahma and 4 silkie eggs went in to lock down on 2/24. 5 of the BB had draw downs and movement, 4 had movement, but no draw down. The silkies are only day 16, but I am only using the 1 'bator. I got 16 silkie/frilkie/sizzle and 6 Cream Leg Bars from Papa Brooder. I got them a few days earlier than I hoped, I'm going to set them as soon as my current lock down eggs hatch or DIS.
