Well at least there's still one smart boss out there.

Last week, 45 min North of us at Excel Industries where they make Hustler mowers there was a shooting. Killed 3 and 15 wounded. Felon with weapons that were straw purchased for him by his girlfriend. The girlfriend had a restraining order served to him 2 hrs before.

I addressed all employees yesterday over evac procedures in the shop and offered to pay for employees CCL if they didn't have one and would like too. Not a requirement by any means.

I have no desire to be a statistic.

Goodmorning everyone, I have been too busy to be on the last few days. I hope everyone is well.
Lockdown on the first group (ccl, Swedish flower hens, and EE)!
My chicks are shipping today. Any special advice for chicks coming in the mail from a hatchery?

@Chaos18 here is a quick pic I took. Hard to see everything that's going on, but when it's empty I'll get a better one.

The fan on the top right of the pic is the one I added. It's above the eggs slightly and pointed slightly towards the wall.
you have that STC in there?

240 new posts. Not ready to read yet. I'm so excited! I'm picking up a mini fridge today! The price was right and I'm excited about building a bigger incubator. Two homemade incubators! Hooray! So, @Ur-ur-ur-urrr , @LocalYokel , @Sally Sunshine I'm going to be reviewing all the builds you've done and trying to get this done quickly for my next set of eggs.

Make that 245 new posts.

Off to search for supplies...

What do y'all think of this design? It's a pre-fab kit that I bought last year. It's about 45" long x about 3' wide, with another door in the back.
The angled tops are hinged. I want a 2nd coop for grow-out, and I'm thinking about copying it. I'd change the doors to slide up & down, rather than side-to-side ( bedding currently gets into the tracks, despite a board across the bottom of the opening..a real PITA)

If you like the overall design of it than I'd go with it. For ease of material use maybe increase it to 4'x4' since most things are either 4' or 8' long. I will add that having the entire side of mine open up makes it super easy for cleaning.

I like being able to open a side too for cleaning. It also makes it easier to get birds when you need them.
You could just hinge a side on the design you like.
