Look how big my three- week- old chicks are!
Did Duckling get smaller or did the chick have a growth spurt?
The chicks grew that fast! LOL!

Holy eagle hybrids, Batman!! What are you feeding those things, anyway? Steroids? I love the expression on Duckling's face : Hurry up, Mom; this thing's gettin' heavy
She has never been able to touch the chickens before. She pretty much didn't know what to do with the new experience! Good morning (cheating) Westley!
Who me?! Never!
Riiiiight! You just happen to turn more heads than mine accidentally. :)

Can you tell me your secret recipe? I want to eat my extra boys but they are currently only bite sized. Monkey hasn't held a chicken before either. She pets them and acts like she wants to hold one but never does.
The secret is in the sauce. Lots of hot sauce!

Make a claim with whom?

The Post Office. The packages were insured for $50. How much damage is enough to make claims, I am not wanting something for nothing but the rare chicken eggs though looking whole on the outside 2/3rds are scrambled on the inside. Will I find the same with the quail? I don't know. My current candler can't see much in a quail egg. I have ordered a more powerful light.

Just got back a bit ago from the PO. The emu eggs look to be in great shape. The seller packed them very well. They were each wrapped with newspaper and placed in their own individual cardboard box. Then they were inside the big box, which was firmly packed with shredded paper. It also looks like the PO was fairly gentle with them.

They're beautiful! Pictures to come, if my husband ever gets off the computer. I can never get pics to post from my phone :/

I think you're out of luck if none of them were actually broken :(

I don't see why not! You can do very similar things with a crayon and patience, I just do it traditionally. They say the designs and method are closely guarded from mother to daughter, so it's something I plan to teach my future children when they get older.
