I'm going to take pictures of my egg candling tonight. Right now I'm waiting on Fancy to kid! She is driving me crazy!!!! I've been thinking "today's the day" since Tuesday. She's been giving me this look for a few hours now....It better be her "I'm ready" face!

For those that are interested:
I think I know what went wrong... With temps set exactly as they were before, (I sharpied a line where I had it set for the whole set period and room temps are the same) it read 105 at the new measurement level.
No, that was not a typo!!! Now I feel really bad.
If that is correct, than it spiked to 107 at the highest... Which would explain everything. If only I had measured a few inches higher... I might have had chicks...
I'm just gonna sit here and kick myself for an hour or two... DOH!!!! ALL my fault, every single inch. You are free to laugh at me now.
(Hey, maybe I can actually hatch something this time, now that I know what happened!!)

you know I have a feeling this is not an incubation issue
those look fine except they DIS  I am wondering if not a flock nutrition issue or something? worming or meds previous?

So if you medicate a bird prior to laying.. the outcome of the chick would not be good??? Never thought of that before.

Chickn will deposit material in an egg up to 10 dayes befor laying. This is the purpose of withdrawal period. So if you dewormed a chicken and incubate her egg, the egg could have it inside and it could ceretenly impact the embrio

Yes!!! Exactly!! I'm feeling much better about my chances for the HAL, and maybe I won't get the worst hatch award.


On a better note, all 3 thermos are reading 100 at the NEW and correct level, now to just get it up a degree! All are calibrated and spot on.
