OK, thanks;... I might have to get a digital thermometers. Or a spot check thermometer...
I can't tell you how many extremely valuable eggs I've ruined because I was to cheap to invest in good thermometers. If I pooled all the money I spent on junk, I could have bought 2 good guaranteed accurate ones.
They all ended up in the trash after all. Some even had big incubator company brand names emblazoned on them.

Quick question, hopefully quick easy answer:
I've wired the ITC-1000F based on the diagrams I've seen that do not include an outlet. I just want to make sure I can skip the cooling parts completely as I am not using them right now. I thought about adding a third fan wired in to the cooling section but didn't think that would make much difference considering I'll have two fans running all the time. I think I need some late coffee to get through the wiring part of this incubator. Pictures later tonight.
Unneeded. There may be power going to those terminal contacts but it doesn't matter if no equipment is connected.

Chickn will deposit material in an egg up to 10 dayes befor laying. This is the purpose of withdrawal period. So if you dewormed a chicken and incubate her egg, the egg could have it inside and it could ceretenly impact the embrio

Just got done weighing the emu eggs. Here's what's going on (I'm calling the eggs what they're marked, so CE, CH, CI and CQ):
CE-632g, needs to loose 94.8g (11.85g/week). Target end weight 537.2g.
CH-685g, needs to loose 102.75g (12.84g/week). Target end weight 582.25g.
CI-666g, needs to loose 99.9g (12.49g/week). Target end weight 566.1g.
CQ-598g, needs to loose 89.7g (11.21g/week). Target end weight 508.3g.

I'll weight them each Friday to check weight loss and adjust humidity accordingly. I'll start with 35% humidity and a temp of 95.5F near the center of the egg. That should put them hatching somewhere around 4/23, maybe a little before. I hope.

Good luck.

The city of St. Louis just today voted down expanding keeping of livestock that would have raised allowed chickens from 4 to 8 and also allowed keeping geese, emus, sheep and goats.

Thanks :)

And that's a major bummer :/ Need to rally the chicken folks for next time!
