yup....I'm kinds bummed cuz I would love to go up to town and attend the builders show at the done in Marquette....and John Kasich is speaking in Marquette today....but my daughter came home to cook for my wife's birthday...I'd rather spend it with her.(and my wife of course but she would have gone with me).Wonderful, local made is good!
/TRY ANYTHING fill it up!! ha ha haI have a small problem with my new Brinsea.....I don't have enough eggs!!!!! I fit 30 eggs with the rails on one side, the other side is getting all small eggs and WAY more than 30 will fit. I wasn't going to use the rails on that side, and it's only 1/3 filled. Where can I get more eggs to fill it - do I try Trader Joe eggs?
out of ovates! thanks so much for helping out LG!!!From a quick google search, I found that Muscovy are not genetically related to the other ducks that we are familiar with. All of the latter group are in the Mallard family, while Muscovy are more closely related to goose. Any hybrids produced from Muscovy x Mallard will produce a mule duck, which will be sterile. Varying response re: if a female hybrid will lay eggs.

Quote: Having your daughter coming over to cook sounds like a pretty good day!
hippie you will get there! surely its not that beat up?So husband and I figured out that if we can level the coop out with a car jack and some bricks we can actually just repair and paint and the coop will be fine for a while longer. I'm not sure if I want the cost of repairing though, it seems like it might be cheaper to just build a new one and then paint that and demolish the old one. The design sucks, and I've wasted tons of manhours on it already.

thats awesome phil, glad things are comin along for you two!! Happy Birthday Wishes and enjoy!
This is what my wife picked out for her birthday....this chair and a matching dual recliner sofa......they will be ready for pick up in 6 weeks. She really liked the leather and the cedar facing. It'll be the first time all our furniture will match.....and wasn't hand me downs. Also quill match out rustic log end tables and antler lamps.
never go with the one that comes in the bator, thats why most of us have two extras that we can calibrate to make sure how much the one that is built in the bator is off or not. If your sure of calibrations I would go with the secondary, if you need to recalibrate I would do that another thermo may be in order.Hova bator 1588 is running (no eggs set in it yet) & it says temp of 100 degrees (sometimes 99.9) & I did add some water because humidity was on registering at 14% without it. Now with some water added, temp is same & humidity has now been 44% for awhile.
My question is, I've got a secondary thermometer/hygrometer with a probe IN the incubator and the temp keeps saying 101.8 or 102. I thought I'd calibrated the new separate thermometer/hygrometer but now I'm not sure.
Anyone specifically have experience with this bator?
I don't want it too hot but also not sure that the meter with probe is currently accurate...:-/
AWESOME!!!!! OMG chicks to come!!
Morning Mike!!did you catch Bantis post on the drawing contest? '![]()

The same is said about $30k automobiles, then half of them are recalled!Good morning everyone!! Question about the Brinsea.....the paperwork it came with makes a HUGE deal about how calibrated it is and says why would we take a $10 thermo/hygro and believe it over the $700 machine? Should I bother adding additional ones?
Question about my lone Salmon Favorelle. He/she is about 4 weeks old. It won't stay still, so photos aren't great....
I'm leaning toward boy.....what do you think?
