Hatched out 10 out of 16 shipped BCM. This is my second hatch this year. Also have 6 Pekin Ducks in the bator now due to hatch 3/18. Then putting in some leghorns after that. I also have a broody RIR that has set up her best in the Ducks house. Hatching is addicting.

someone please make it stop. I came home from church and one of my Welsummer chicks from January that I put out with the Christmas chicks was dead with no apparent cause unless moving it scared it to death.
Inside another chick was dead and four more look listless. I have to got upstairs and check again in a minute. I just want them to stop dying. I don't know how much more I can stand.

Beyond awful I know I could not handle it. Really hope you find the source. Probably been mentioned but Is there some common source that all your birds do or get.
When I lived in the Bay Area the water company would routinely send a note in our water bill saying not to give the water to infants under six months. I would not give that same water to my rabbits or pets as they were always sickly.

Dax, nobody who puts as much effort into their animals as you obviously do sure doesn't deserve what's happening to your birds lately. I'm as sorry as I can be.

This is going to sound kind of drastic, I guess, but if I were in your place, I'd have to give serious consideration to totally replacing my coops (even if that meant burning them) and building new coops & runs on virgin ground. Just my opinion, FWIW

Dinner is cooking. Me and the boys had so much fun entering a bunch of the contests. Lol. Their favorite was my beautiful make up. Tomorrow is SCHOOL... Woooohoooo!!!

The nineteen chicks of 49 were a shipped in order vaccinated for Mereks and shipped from a NPIP and certified mycoplasma free hatchery. But they started dying immediately. The Welsummer is the only one of my chicks to die, and she was fine prior to me boxing the six up and taking them out to the coop that has the seven from Christmas. That is just odd.
