I'm going to call the hatchery. Any advice on approaching this? I think the 15 of 19 that died in the first 24 hours at least should be on them. I tend to be too blunt

I think you should send one or more off to necropsy so you will know what they are dying from. I also think that you should verify the status of their NPIP certification. If they are current, then the most likely reason so many died was stress from shipping, dehydration, being too cold or all three.

Many people think that all chicks can live without food or water for three days. Often this is true, but even a four day old chick can get severely dehydrated.

Really? Hmm might put CCL on my list for next year.

I just went on their website, and the pre order chicks list I see doesn't say Polish.....

Admittedly the closest TSC for me is 2 hours away.
