This Hatch-a-Batch app is insanely useful. I wouldn't remember my dates otherwise. And it tells you what is happening to the embryo and will sen you reminders for candling and for turning off auto turner, it really helps me.

I also LOVE this app. I would get so confused as to which eggs are going in, which are coming out and which are due when if i didn't have it lol

You hit the ice today?

no but just got off the phone with my friend should be out there in a few days...

Maybe tomorrow?? Got stuck over hauling the pantry and freezers... Lol and the all beloved grocery shopping!!! FYI, rather be fishing....

I'd rather be fishing than most things...at least that you wear clothes for anyway. .

yes you chop to depth a bunch of times and then hold saw down to depth position and push//pull the wood and it chips it off for you, but I didnt tell you how to do this!!! you learned it on your own!!

Appreciate the tip - but that's not within my comfort zone. If I really need to do it with power tools I'll finally get a table saw and a dado blade. I don't have a good place to put it, so I went with the chisel again. Actually, even though it indeed takes longer, I have good chisels and am pretty efficient at it. And as these particular joints are glued, then screwed, the unevenness (though sanded) gives it more grippity grip grip.

Quote: Nope - it's all I use. They can stand flat-footed on it and seem to like them a lot. 2x2" roosts are a bit unsteady. I round the top edges a bit with a sander. (I should add that I don't have bantam anything...)

Thank you so much for sharing - I am LOVING this! For everyone else who is in the Easter Hatch a Long and set chicken eggs on Saturday, March 5, all their hundreds/thousands of itty bitty hearts started beating for the very first time today.

Quote: Forgive me if this was already covered, but make sure to check the temp and humidity. It's a very nice incubator, but may not be accurate. Compared to a calibrated standard, my brand new Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance temp is a degree Celsius lower then the reading (and indeed I had a late hatch last time). It's also 6-10% lower than the reading for humidity, and I had problems there as well. I have adjusted my settings now for this hatch.

We have had thunder storms all day and then the sun came out for 30 minutes:

OMG, it's a double rainbow!!!!

Here are the 8 EE and three Rees ccl (any help on gender) the Swedish flower hens did not survive the bleaching treatment.

You have three Cream Legbar pullets - and they have really great autosexing markings from what I can see - congrats on that, it's important!

The teenager stomps and yells for his girlfriend... Little does he know I have her grandpa in on it and she can't boil water....
Both teenaged Cubs are in desperate discussion.. How do you preheat... I'm scared of the flame.... Such a predictament to be in... Now both are staring at me. Should I fear for my life.
I am loving this - keep us updated!

Well, I got a late start, so I decided to make the Monterey Jack tonight, and do the cheddar tomorrow (Jack is easier). But I'm only just now finishing the ripening. It's going to be a LOOOONG night...

I think I'll do some menu planning while I wait - with my favorite cookbook in my (embarrassingly large) cookbook library:
