Okay, lots of thoughts here!
I just finished cleaning out my fire ring, what do I do with all the stuff that was inside? The glass is what I'm most worried about. I can't just dump it somewhere. The birds and Duckling are too curious.
How do I have a duck that is afraid of all bodies of water? She drinks, but won't swim. I know that this is something that happens in large bodies of water when a duck gets hurt by a snapper or large fish. Baby pools aren't supposed to be a problem.

.....
I was playing in the garden, and shrieked when I thought I saw a worm. I then put my bare hand into the straw that had been in the duck pen. Is this normal? :lau

A worm??? :lau
Uhh... Well, we can call it normal if ya would like...
Nobody that has chickens is "normal." ;)
So you is in good company!

NOW I understand why you're known as Bubbles

(I had to; ya left the barn door wide open, again)

:lau

What do you see in this picture?

If I didn't know that it was there, I wouldn't see it. I just think that maybe you will see it.

I'm not afraid of snakes though! I had worms thrown into my hair my mouth and down my shirt. I've been afraid of them since.

Agree with C18. Chuck it with the trash. As far as the normal part goes. Who says the person that says you aren't normal is normal? You are you and that is that! :hugs

welcome, and good luck! Read a bunch.
What are you going to hatch?

That is what I love about BYC! I have to have a lot of information to feel comfortable doing things, and BYC has it.

I am hoping to find some Ameraucanas, some EEs, OE, and/or Marans locally.

Really???? Sweet to know!

I have a local teacher that actually runs the incubator in each classroom of the elementary school every year! He has farmers on the list for chicks as well as letting kids take them home if they already have backyard chickens. I give him eggs occasionally, a very good guy and very addicted to sharing his love of incubation and it benefits the kids BIG TIME!!

There are slides and programs for incubating eggs with kids in the classroom, I bet you already found them?

@Spinning Carrie

I have found so many things that I'm planning on using!
