Did you read my last post where I said that some duck eggs can take 24-48 hours from internal pip to external pip. I'm no expert, but I guess that geese are similar.

The only waterfowl I've hatched were Canada Geese. They popped out like bunnies in no time. However, they were in a true nest for the bulk of incubation. I just put them in my hatcher for a couple days.

I hope so, but I have eggs coming and I don't have time to repackage the whole unit and send it back and wait for them to decide whether or not to replace it.

That the new probe fixes the problem you're having.

This is about to get VERY interesting! This will be my biggest hatch to date (so far). I don't know how many there are, I need to recount. Lockdown!

Good luck! I hope this hatch goes great! That will be a lot of chicks!!!

Just curious,I think my incubator will look something like this when I go into lockdown. How do the chickies hatch when they are fit so tightly together? Do they just climb around on the other eggs? How do they kick free if there is no room for them to move? Do you take out hatched chicks sooner in this set up?

Thanks!

they, don't even have room for the cap to. Come of.

Can you tell us why you continually freak out?

This isn't rocket science or something that humans invented. Birds have been incubated and hatched for millions of years. They aren't extinct so it usually goes well.
Just do your best to replicate a mother's temperature, humidity and turning. They will hatch or they won't. That's just the way it is.
My best advice is to relax.

Aurora, that is one packed bator. I'm thinking of packing mine like that, but standing them up in cartons. Then, I can tilt the whole bator to turn them. We'll see how many eggs I end up setting! Other option would be to set them in double decker fashion.
