What heat source do you use for you incubator?

I've started using PTC heating elements. They are pretty cheap if you allow time for them to travel from China.

I also use cartridge heaters, but they scare me a little because they get so hot.

good question. This is a January 21 chick raised in the house until the sixth of March. I then put the six chicks from that group out in the chicken tractor with the Christmas chicks I put out two weeks before. He is the only one with it. Discharge and swollen and hard around vent. All started on Corrid Monday just in case. I feed Purina medicated till week 16. It has been a little wet here, but it is like a diarrhea. Any suggestions?

Did you hear about the blonde funeral director?

A woman's husband passes away, and she is at the funeral home making final arrangements. The director asks the widow what she would like her husband burried in. " he always looked best in blue, so here is a blank check to get him a nice blue suit."
