That is what happened to the 'lings on the neighbor's pond.... And it is also why I ended up with ducks. They would take away 1-3 babies so that flock size could increase instead of the lings getting EATEN.

Oh. My. Goodness. THIS one, is the cutest of ALL!!!!!! Look, take note. See the orange webs! The little TOENAILS!!!! The tiny winglets, still too young to fly and flap. The head. See how it is cocked? Is this not the cutest ling EVER???? See the glossy shine on the black, inquisitive eyes. That ling KNOWS she is cutiez and is showing it off. Ack, see the shiny eyes? The mischevious look? She is practially grinning, the sweetie!
