my first hatch just completed I got 11 out of 19 eggs hatched 2 of the late hatchers have splayed legs I'm doing the band aid method the one that didn't hatch had a very small air cell and the shells were very thick

Well, there I was in the supermarket and I saw ferilized eggs... you know I bought them... managed to drop the bag on the kitchen floor but didn't break any eggs.


I figure, I have nothing to lose. The incubator is running anyway!

I don't understand do they sell FERTILIZED eggs in supermarkets in the USA?

Oh boy do we have predators here! 2 sides of our property border a creek and it's like a wildlife superhighway. We have a heavy fox population with multiple den entrances surrounding our pasture... last spring we had babies playing back there and saw 3 adults. Also have Coopers Hawks, coyotes, and raccoons. My Amish neighbor lost 14 chickens in one day last summer
