Hey CC......got a letter in the mail yesterday....

Quick question....I'm setting duck eggs today....temp and around what humidity?
Incubator is running...99.5 -100F

Phil, glad you received the letter after my original brain fart! Good luck with them, but I would start them early
As for ducks, temps sound good, I start dry, check ac and adjust as needed. I also do a cool down about ten minutes per day after day seven (prop the bator lid open a bit) and then I start upping the humidity around day 23-24. I don't mist them like some, and have reasonably successful hatches, 75-80%.

Sally, no fun today, just lots of critter related chores! Got the coops cleaned last weekend, got to do goats and ponies feet today, finish dry wall in laundry room and then get a barn stall set up for one of the ponies that are due to foal very soon. Vet said late March, I am thinking mid-April but need to be ready just in case. She was late with her first, and early with her last one so........
