Nice to have friends like that. Now... when are you going to put it to use???

oh dang BJ stupid cats!

I would Veterycin it, do you have a liquid to sanitize the wound first?  Kat may think it needs something else.  Do you have antibiotics to give it orally?  @casportpony

Not casportpony but if she were mine I would clean (maybe weak peroxide from Chemist), put on some Betadine if I had any, and allow to air dry.
Also give her access to a heat source/lamp for a day or 2.

Only suture if there's is a hole communicating with the air sacs, and then I would also give antibiotics.

Well, the new combo show was a bust and the lady I was getting eggs from did not have any, but she had made up her mind on a few cockrels she got from Greenfire farms. So here are my two new Greenfire farms ccl (bred and shipped by them.
They are 8 weeks old so after quarantine the should fit in well.

OH I am so happy for you!!! They are lovely1!!!
I'm gonna call it here in a minute in having a bad pain night....hung tongue and groove on my bathroom all day today...now I'm just whooped...

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since I've posted but I have a question for those of you that hatch shipped eggs. How do you set the eggs for lockdown...laying down or upright in egg cartons? And has it been successful?
@Hawk12 a few posts above yours I just was talking about you and your scalped bird!! did you see BJ young chick a cat got hold of?

Hawk12 -sorry about your bird.

I think that will be just fine if cleaned (peroxide/Betadine) and left open to heal.
I would NOT suture.
