Still air LG? Hmm, that sounds a bit low for temp. Are your thermos and hygros calibrated? (I can give links if you need it)

Is there any water in the trenches? You can try putting rice in there to lower it. What is the humidity in your house? (That will impact it)

It was my fault, I had the door shut but didn't even think about him putting a paw underneath and snagging one!

We've had numerous cats here and none of them have ever bothered hens. Now chicks they will look at but the hens keep the cats on the run.

My dog got two roosters once but with a little training he would let them eat out of his food bowl.

My ducks follow my cat around the yard...funny as Heck.....poor cat doesn't know what to think.....she will keep looking back and there they are all seven of them in a row right behind her.....
