Something is stealing our eggs. We have a banty we decided to see if she could hatch some eggs, but they keep disappearing. One of our royal palm hens keeps trying to steal the nest from her I've noticed could she be eating them or do we have a snake? I haven't seen any tracks in the sand around the nest for a snake but I guess that doesn't mean we don't have one. I was thinking about putting a golf ball under her does golf balls fool snakes?
If another chicken were eating her eggs there should be shell fragments, maybe small, hard to find ones. Could a snake get to the nest from a hard surface where it would leave no track? If I had your problem, I'd set up a trail camera, trained on the nest, but then I have two of them.

Snakes are attracted by the heat put off by their intended prey. A fake egg puts off no such heat, so I wouldn't think they'd be effective.

So I got my farm innovators incubator stable, after the chicks pip or start to zip can I move them to it? It's stuck at 96.7 degrees, which I think is a good temp to dry off.

I didn't know it was my birthday! I thought I was born on 11/21...
Is there maybe something your folks have neglected to tell you?

Don't bantam eggs usually hatch a day early? I believe that's what I've been told. The Mille Fleur eggs will be on day 21 on Wednesday, so maybe Tuesday hatch...

And on another note, can I keep the full size chicks and bantam chicks in the same brooder?

Snake or rodent

And yes, collect all eggs as soon as possible, leaving only golfballs. The snake will eat the golfballs and die
