I have thought rooster since week five, but the EE thread keep saying pullet and the feathers are just coming out. They said see how ragged the tail area is? I don't see that but I am playing wait and see.

zChristmas day hatch. That is about a week ago 13 weeks.

As Benny mentioned looking at the feathers (in both the tail and the feathering on the neck) for that age would indicate a rooster. Although I've never had that breed before.

Darn feather plucker and eater that is pushy anyway so it would not be a big deal to sell it off to me. The other three olive eggers are pullets anyway so I have plenty.

Here is my EE roo that was born late November, this photo is from mid Feb so 11 weeks? It had already been crowing for several weeks prior to this photo It has the same tail yours does. I wish mine weren't crowing! It's gets into crowing wars with my silkie roo. They go back and forth all day!

I have read not to use cedar shavings for chickens but can we use a dying cedar tree for the wood?(hand planing the boards)

I have 8 meat birds that will be ready in June if I can get someone to process them in trade for one or two. I might need it then.
He is an interesting color so az soon as it crows I will sell it.
