If she's leaving the hest when you give her the boot than she's probably not broody. Removing the other birds has shaken up the pecking order. She might feel like this is her chance to make a power play and you're the top dog.

That's what I thought. I am really hoping one of my chickens goes broody though. I have been needing to toss in some fake eggs to leave in there for them to encourage it.

No...he just scared himself awake, coughing so hard...now he's asleep again. I asked if he wanted a cough suppressant...nope. :-/
