If it ain't his fault than who's fault would it be? Cause it ain't your fault.
It's not raining here..........currentlyBlame it on the rain.
Good morninig hn! Your name is to long....
Didn't have a clue. There ya go. I don't know if you realized I was referring to this song.
Gotta be getting close on the emu it seems...
ClosER. They're not due to hatch until somewhere around the 23rd (for the first 4) and the 29th (for the second 4).
Still a little ways to go, but getting there!
Don't get me wrong - bad adverse reactions can uncommonly occur with the flu shot (sometimes related to some sort of allergy or reaction to something in the vaccine preparation) - and it sounds like you may have them. If you ever get into the situation where they pass a law mandating vaccination for your workplace (like here), be a matter of documenting that with your doctor (and wearing a mask during the flu season). All the more reason for those around you to be vaccinated, as you said they are. (The three times that you say you got the flu - did you get a laboratory confirmed diagnosis? It's certainly possible, but also lots of other things can make you very sick during flu season that aren't flu).
True - and other respiratory viruses are circulating at the same time, so you may get sick, but it may be parainfluenza or RSV or adenovirus or something, not influenza... And yes, the material in the shot is dead. So there's no way you can "get the flu" from the shot (which was the point I was making). But you could (1) have an immune reaction to the vaccine that makes you feel rotten for a little while (this usually happens to me), (2) get another virus (and think it was the flu), or (3) still get the flu because the vaccine isn't perfect - but if you do the vaccine is usually going to prevent your illness from being even more severe than it is.
If you cannot get the vaccine because of an adverse reaction, or if you still "don't believe in it" - please wash your hands a LOT, and try not to touch your face throughout the day (you get it on your hands from a door knob or something and then get infected when you rub your nose or eyes, or touch your mouth). There's a LOT of prevention that can happen just by doing that.
(Sorry to rant, guys - it's just so hard to see people get so so so sick with something preventable and end up hospitalized/severely ill/dead, because someone said to them "Well I never get the flu shot - last time I got it it gave me the flu." and then thought, "Well, then, I'm not getting vaccinated, I hear it gives you the flu." I'll shut up now.)
Good luck, and keep us posted - hope they show up soon! I hate that worrying stage when waiting on something from USPS. My local post office (full of really great people) think I'm off my rocker because I'm so compulsive about telling them when something's coming and checking with them repeatedly and not trusting tracking.![]()
