Duckling seemed to want to potty train today. I put cloth training pants on her. Sooo glad I have plastic pants too! She swore she didn't have to go. Then told me when she was done peeing a minute later.
I dealt with that, then noved on to the next challenge.
This morning the ducklings finally learned to swim.
. Duckling learned that when I say "keep your hands out of the water" she can say "awww" and pet their heads. I learned they poop fast.
Then I had to clean the brooder. The tub was drained, and the bathroom gets warm fast with the door shut. That dealt with, I began. Duckling had to be put in het playroom. She was getting too grabby. I was going to wait until naptime, but I've put it off long enough. It had to get done! Refilling the brooder was a trial. The liner I put down wasn't working, and I had already put in the pine shavings. I finally got that all settled, and then it was time to get the ducklings. Which were in the closed barhroom. In the playroom with a baby gate up. That is one of those stupid new ones that don't have a little plastic knob to make it easier to raise to latch. I had poop on my hands. Oy!
Then it was time to go outside. Duckling was running around with her clothes. She did not want to get dressed!
Outside, the dog had the runs from too many treats. Anyone ever see the pig looking container of treats that has a nose you push a treat into, and it goes flying through the air? Duckling had to practice. The dog didn't mind!
Then the dog realized that the drake was following me around closely. The dog playfully went after him a few times to keep me to himself. Jojo the duck finally goosed the dog!
Duckling wanted something under the stove. Mopping the kitchen floor and cleaning underneath the stove are two other things I have been putting off. They are now done.
As bad as my back hurt this morning, it hurts so nuch more now! I need a back massage!
