So I'm thinking about selling some hatching eggs.... But, I don't know how I should package them. Does anyone have any methods that protect the eggs well?

Can you please explain me what IS the importance of NPIP to you?
And what its mean in fact?
Does it mean That a govermant inspector will visit your flock and check fir Salmonela?

When a flock becomes NPIP certified we can legally ship eggs and birds throughout the country. They test for AI and something else I can't remember.

it's essentially a cataloging system from what I understand. And yes someone does come out to test birds, number seems to vary from state to state along with flock size. Most states require being npip certified to ship live birds. You are basically just being put into a rolladex of " these people have x amount of birds and they are OK" atleast that's what I've picked up from what I've read. The more people report their flock and size the more of an accurate idea of where all the birds are when something bad happens.

Supposedly in order to sell birds in my state, I should try to get NPIP certified.

It is baisicly a Government controling system that will ease the goverment to reach and eradicate chicken flocks in case of bird flou eroption......
