Still consider myself the newbie. I have come to respect the opinion of those on this thread and in the effort to not offend any I decided maybe it was best to not speak. I will however sit back and chuckle as others do. Interesting point of view I suppose considering I have developed rather thick skin after 15 years in the military.

Being on the internet one must develop thick skin rather quickly. So feel free to comment on anything I say or do. I'm a big boy and poke fun at others so I expect it from them.

All of my chickens have names. Last year's cocks are named blue1, blue 2, blue 3, blue 4, blue 5 etc.. Hens are named blue 25, blue 26, blue 27, blue 28 and so on.
This year's birds will be white1, white 2, white 3, white 4 ..........

I only name a few of my birds. Usually the ones that stick out to me or that I can readily identify. I name most of those after friends on the mission field or family and friends so I remember to pray for them when I see that bird. I also name the roosters because I address them often.

I'd have replaced it years ago, but a conventional riding mower just wouldn't work here, & I'm not spending $10k to buy a duplicate of what I've got.

I hear ya! I wouldn't expect another 20 out of a replacement either. Even if you spend the money majority of stuff just aint made like it used to be. I have started replacing all my "new" power tools with old ones as they break. I prefer metal over plastic.

I just found somthing very odd in my coop, a unfortunate dove that enterd to the coop have been killed by 2 Cockrells and partly eaten by them!
