A test to see if the blade is sharp enough. I think it is.

Hey guys! How's life? The babies I got from cackle are all doing great. I went ahead and got a small bag of medicated feed that was supposed to help with coccidiosis for them after two turkey chicks and two hicken chicks died for no apparent reason. I think in the future if I get more hatchery chicks I'll use medicated feed for the first week or two. The babies got moved outside yesterday and they love it! And so far the integration between my 7 week old chicks and my ten weekers is going okay! Only some chases and some roosting squabbles have occurred. Spot the injured.chick is back with his flock too and doing fine! My spitzhauben chicks are so cute!!!! I think I'm gonna love having chrested chicks around! I just hope my pens are escape proof enough for them, I hear they're great fliers.
You don't need medicated feed, until the chicks are on the ground, unless you bring dirt and grass into them. I'm glad to hear everything else is going well, and Spot is back with the flock.

When I treat livestock for coccidia with Corid, I treat 5 days and a Vitamin B shot every other day, do you know of a reason the B supplement is never mentioned with treating chickens with Corid?

In my opinion you should rase only thing that yiu can get from them back,
Food, guard, work.

I'm going to eat the dog! Be right back!
Actually, I have not gotten a second dog because I like having animals that works for me. Sturgis does help out with the birds on occasion, but not enough to be reliable. If I want a pet, I can bring one of the ducks inside, and put a diaper on them.
People pay for manure! Chicken manure makes great fertilizer if you let it age for a year; otherwise, it's too "hot" to use. Rabbit manure can be used right out of the rabbit. I've known of people that built rabbit hutches in their garden

Duck poo can be used immediately too. I will be putting the dock pool near the garden, with the drain pipe leading towards the center of the garden.
