Do you have a hardware cloth apron or similar barrier extending 2 feet all the way around? I do this with all of my coops and pens (permanent or temporary), because I cannot dig one foot down to bury HW cloth vertically. This is the best way to keep burrowing animals from getting into pens and coops.

Thank you. We haven't had to do that but I guess we must. Does it keep the ants out?

I had fifteen in lockdown.day 20 just started. Two have hatched and a bunch of pips

Exciting. I have my first broody but an animal got in her pen last night and stole an egg.

We moved her to a more secure area. I hope she stays on the nest. I didn't take her of the nest so I don't even know what is still under her. If she stays on the nest I will check in a few days.

Anyone know
