We actually have it written into our ordinance that we are allowed to butcher animals as long as it isn't visible from off the property.

I'd rather not die at all. I'm a strong swimmer and use a helmet when rafting. I probably should canoeing but I never have. I've never used one skiing either. Old school.
I remember when there was only one NHL player who wore a helmet - Frank St. Marseille of the Blues.

I refuse to use the DW, DD, DS stuff.

Now I am thinking about chicken and dumplings. I never liked it growing up, but with fresh chicken... Ohhh! And I don't have to worry about using $20 -30 of meat. I always hated spending $5/pound for the meat, and having DH ask for chicken and dumplings.

Organic grass fed bison can run upwards of $50 a pound. Whole foods sometimes carries it for as little as $28.
