A friend of mine about 1/2 mile from me had 50 plus chickens a couple of days ago and now she has 12. She said she still has the 3 blasted roosters... She said there is no evidence other than one wing and she cannot tell where they are getting in. Now her fence is not that secure so who knows.
Does anyone know of any animal that would do that? I am guessing a skunk...

She hasn't been here or on her own thread since yesterday; she's packing to move@lindalouly please pm me
From 50 to 12 in a couple days could be many things. We'd need to know the location to determine the predator.
For so many to disappear it would probably have to be a canine or many raccoons with what we have in this area. You may have things I don't.
Very few predators will take nearly 40 chickens in 3 nights with no traces.
Good point. We live in North Dakota and we have tons of skunks, coyotes, dogs, and not that many raccoons that are in Missouri. She just sold her lama and alpaca last week. There were times that the alpaca would have blood on its muzzle in the morning with no scrapes or cuts. I told her not to sell them but she did. She is going to set out traps..I think a raccoon can squeeze through a 4"x 4" hole, and I've seen skunks go through 2"x4" welded wire.

I've got a quick quail question! So I just bought some coturnix at a bird sale 3 pharoh females one tuxedo female and one pharoh male, I got my first egg today it's all blue (hard to tell in pic) but is there any way of knowing what female the egg came from? Do different coloured quail lay different coloured eggs? Like would the tuxedo lay a different egg vs the pharoh females? Thanks a lot!![]()
The "Answer Man"Musta been that tuxedo
