I put 8 reds in the brooder this morning, and have 4 more in the bator that have pipped.If I'm lucky, I'll end up with 12 chicks out of 30 eggs...

For this being such an irritating thing to do we sure do keep doing it............kinda like my golf game. Sorry to hear it ain't going how you wanted it to go.

Yup... Any night I actually sleep is a good one...I was barely able to get through the Tiger game last night... Probably would have been easier if they were winning... But.... Well we will just leave it at that....

I think they look nice. My chickens and ducks pretty much ignore them now.

Several years ago, the BIL showed up here, telling me about a flock of turkeys he'd seen in the road just a 1/4 mile from here. At the time, turkeys were pretty rare around here, so I asked him just where he'd seen them. From his description, I knew exactly where he was talking about, but still couldn't imagine a turkey being there, let alone a flock of them. Then it hit me! I asked him if knew what a Guinea looked like. His response was " Is that what they were? I've never seen a turkey in person; only in pictures" I told him if he ever stuck a fork in one he'd soon know the difference.

I'm setting 18 eggs in my Brinsea Advance 20 today in my classroom. Some BO/Marans mix, some EE and some BCM. My head is swimming with everything I've read and watched!
