Are you sure it's an Orpington?Sooo any input on breed I think it's a silver laced Orpington and also does anyone have input on gender please
You haven't answered my question. How can you see the egg under a setting hen? What do I do its turning brown. But it's raining so humidity is supper high

because the pip there is a crack going all the way too the pointed end from the pip.and where the pip is u can see a dot of red threw the shellWhy? If there's a problem, there's nothing you can do. Let nature take its course. Not all creatures were meant to survive. That's life.
Quote: Where did you get the egg? From a breeder or your flock?
You keep messing with the eggs and this is what can happen.

Lots of people shouldn't breed poultry.
I didn't try to helpThere's nothing you can do about it, except break the shell open, in which case the chick won't live. Wait & let it try to hatch, then assist if you must, but chances are it still won't survive....
survival of the fittest.
no she doesntBut you do keep messing with her. Each time you check an egg she moves. When she moves, there is a good chance she will step on an egg.
