I had a teacher do that.
An Indian friend of mine was in robot school with me and he kept interrupting class with questions - incessantly.
On the 4th day, the instructor gave him a stack of 10 quarters. My friend said, "What's this?" The instructor said, "Questions are now a quarter each, when those are gone, it's on you".
