Way behind on the thread, but thanks, Mike!!!

I think that is Joey version of Balut

Uhm... you might be right. The chick is eating, drinking, pooping, and running around... just like other chicks. It really needs a bath, but it looks 100% better than it did this morning. I think it's going to make it! Good idea... I think I'll name it Balut.

Good afternoon all. Hundreds of pages behind, no hope. I thought as I ate my lunch I'd go back a few pages. Well, I am now ready to give my lunch away. Thanks!

I somehow killed 25 of my 33 babies I moved out to the coop, on their first night outside. They didn't figure out how to go under the heat plate, got wet and died. I can't think of anything else that would have killed them. They were in a cage, in a cage in a coop. So nothing got into their area. They were as far from the heat plate as possible, some were all together in a big pile, like they were trying to get warm, but most were spread out near the water dish that had leaked.

Oh my... so sorry to hear that, Jm!

Was there a lot of space in the cage? Perhaps they got disoriented and couldn't find their way back to it? Would be nice to know the cause so it can be prevented in the future...

That pic reminds me of the Polar Bear in the old Coke commercial, just the way it's sitting. All it needs now is a Coke bottle.

Yeah, & I don't know why. I can understand during daylight hours, 'cause everyone's out taking advantage of the warm weather, but at night, too?  Ya got me!

Cuz we are busy sleeping, and when not doing that, cuddling with Burd!

What about dog? Would you eat one?[/quote]

In some countries they have a special breed of dog for human consumption.

My coop fairy is an animal lover but has eaten dog, cat and guinea pig.

I know the sentence "ho mumy mumy please buy me this sweet puppy " have a TOTALLY different meaning in Korea!

Okay, I don't know if there is anything but wait and hope.... How much blood? Don't go check, just wondering. Good on you for leaving it alone now. Even if you leave it and it doesn't make it, leaving her alone will give the rest a much higher chance of survival.

I'm not sure what to do now..... :hu

Edit: And don't help for much longer then that, ducks pinch off the blood vessels when they turn to zip. Chaos' ducks took 60 hours from pip to hatch.
