Most dairymen around here do the same cross with 1st time heifers; easier on them.

We will milk once a day and the calf will be put on when we don't milk so if we milk in the morning he will be with her in the evening

Hi Kat!    Did you catch yer monkey too?

We are good. She's feeling better now. Had a rough week or two with nausea but seems to have passed for the moment. Have our next apt on the 4th and we have to decide if we want a referral to a hospital that's about an hour away. Trying to weigh the pros and cons.
