So far nothing is happening with my 15 eggs. Day 21 started about an hour ago. I usually have eggs hatching on day 20, so I am hopping everything is going to be ok. I really want to open the bator & "check" but I am resisting.

On another note,I am taking the day off work on Friday to go see my Mom. She's 79 ( 80 in July) and has been really sick since the end of March. She's been in & out of the hospital (UTI) then allergic to the meds they put her on. She hasn't been eating or drinking much and is doing much worse. Prayers are appreciated!

It seems like Lavender, Lilac, Blue and Silver should all have some sort of Chocolate bleeding through though. As far as I can tell Bacon doesn't have any.

I have to confess, I pulled a CH last night. I had candled all my incubator eggs. They all look good, a few clears but I don't think a few of my hens don't let mr macho breed them. Well got to thinking about my broody. I have waiting for her to come off the nest so I could at least look at the eggs. I went out last night to button up her pen and she had gotten out and pooped sometime earlier. I decided I needed to candle. Well she is a cucko Maran so her eggs are very dark. I couldn't see much but I think they are growing. I promise to leave her alone. This is my and her first time. She is in the zone.

I used to get stung a lot working at the country club, and I have no clue why they always seem to shoot for the eyes! my worst was one of those huge yellow bee things that just started to come around this area about 15 or so years ago, sucker stung me on top of the head and my entire head ears face swelled up, I never felt anything so painful! horrible but not as horrible as my two year old years ago almost loosing his life due to a nest of bees under a old railroad tie staircase at our old house. Was terrible ride in the ambulance but so much better at the hospital when they had him breathing better.
