End of day 21, I have 2 hatched (hatched in the last 2 hours)! No more pips at this point, but I'm hoping something happens over night. Since they started out in my new Brinsea, I went ahead and bumped up the temps. I'm thinking maybe this one is running a bit lower than I thought

Hopefully the eggs that are still brewing in there aren't too far behind. Most of the eggs in there are on day 15.

in roughly the same boat. First hatch and only one from the bator since yesterday, no more pips. 4 from a broody tho.

Because the chick that hatched out.the fun and funky its wing tips are pointing outwards

We haven't seen much of the sun here for 2-3 days; makes it tough to work on the old tan (or the old one, either, come to think about it).

Well here it is! The one and only chick from the shipped eggs. I left them in the bator with the next set just-in-case, but this is it so far...


It took this thing a little over 2 hours to zip, and had the shell glued to it's back when it did finally get out. The navel was slightly open, I put some Iodine on it. I tried to get the sticky off of it (without putting it under running water). Looks like I'll have to do something with that right foot too. It may not make it, but with what it's been through I'm going to wait it out and see.
