Assuming your OEGB breed started out as full-sized birds, what ever happened to them?

I also had a Silkie hatch.thought it was white but it's covered in creamy brown color too

Assuming your OEGB breed started out as full-sized birds, what ever happened to them?

There are two types, standard OEG and OEGB. The OGEB is supposed to be a bantam version of the large fowl, (I gather that from the name) but pretty much the only thing that is similar is color as the OEGB was created by crossing regular bantams into OEG and backcrossing. IMO, the bantams also have more of the fighting trait bred out of them and make better pets, while it is reccomended to seperate OEG roosters over a few months old. This is just my (very limited) observation.

Went to bed with 10 external pips and woke up to 3 chicks. Think I counted 8 pips total so we will see what the day brings. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

You're welcome to it. Poor chickens look like drowned rats; ain't got sense enough to get in out of the rain. At least it's not cold.
