Thank you . I will keep an eye on her. Back to my thread then !I would lean towards some type of poisoning or having eaten something toxic.

Certainly fits all the symptoms of a human stroke; not sure about ducks, but I wouldn't be surprised.I went out to feed and something weird happened to one of the ducks. I sloshed in there to dump nasty water . Tom was on the outside to spray the pools clean . I set the pool down and he started filling I came out the duck came over and rooted in the mud. they Im not sure. I noticed it flatten out with one leg behind it and a seizure type movement. its wings went flat and it looked to be dying. It was like that for a couple min. It got up and kinda walked unsteady . it is still moving its wings funny . Like a big heart beat. Not sure how to explain that. it did drink but I can tell its not right.
You ever get any real word back from them last time you sent them a bird?Hi all, sorry Granny Hatchet, I know nothing about ducks. I've come across some of my chickens dust bathing looking like they were dead and spastic, but then they start wiggling and pop back up. I don't ever see any lasting effects.
But a sad, frustrating, maybe funny story...
Friday one of Gotro17's 4 month old hens died. I offered to store it until Monday, and ship it to UC Davis for her. It went into my fridge. Sunday morning when we woke up, my 11 month old silkie roo was dead. He was doubled bagged and put in the fridge with the other chicken. I tried to ship the chickens on Sunday for a Monday delivery, and found out my local Fed ex store doesn't ship dead animals. Only the store about 15 miles away, but they weren't open on Sunday.
So, I decided to make the 99 mile drive out to UC Davis in San Bernardino, where I had been told there would be a fridge on the side of the building I could leave the birds in. I made the drive. There was no fridge. I left the styro ice chest that was taped shut, with 2 dead chickens, 5 frozen cold packs, lots of newspaper and the submission forms on their front steps.
Turns out that the person that told me there was a fridge there had done the EXACT same thing I ended up doing. The following day, UC Davis had called her and chewed her out for leaving the package on the front steps, told her that there was a fridge she should have used right around the corner, clearly marked.
Well I walked along the front, around the corner to their fenced in, locked corner. Then back around to the other side, to their fenced in area, and there was no fridge. I did call their general mail box and admit to leaving the package on the front steps.
It looked like a bomb....my father told me to watch the news today to see if they called in the bomb squad to check the suspicious package left on the front steps of UC Davis....
They haven't called to yell at me yet....and I haven't seen anything on the news...
Quote: That's what it sounds like to me too.

yes, there okay.we are flooded so no run for themHi Seth, was it just the run? Are your chickens and geese ok?
Put a small mirror and stuffed animal in the brooder with it until you can get it some friends.I have some lavender orpington eggs in my incubator. Quick question. So today is day 18 and I'll be doing lockdown tonight. I'm going to candle again tonight but I'm pretty sure I've only got one viable egg in there. If only one chick hatches, could that be a problem for the chick? I know they are flock animals and don't do well alone. Any advice?
