Wife's favorite sandwich is a mayo with banana. I prefer peanut butter with dill pickle. Got it from my granddad when I was a kid. He was doing it to be silly but it caught on and became our tradition.
toasted cheese with pickles is really good. What I thought sounded nasty as a kid, but loved was waffles with sour cream used like butter and jam. Yummy!

Waaaaaaay behind (>3000 posts!). No way I can do a read back. Update: EHAL babies FINALLY went outside last Sunday, and are doing well (slowly learning to roost - I still have to put about half of them up there each night). Older babies doing well (and the boys are heading for the freezer soon, hormonal jerks that they are). I had my first broody experience. Lissa, one of my Cream Legbars, went enthusiastically broody on her first birthday. Here she is determinedly trying to hatch a couple of frozen water bottles: It eventually worked after a couple days (switching out bottles as they thawed) - this evening she was off the nest, looking/doing well, eating, drinking, etc. To be sure I picked her up, and she felt cooler and didn't growl at me. So I carried her around with her belly airing out, then we finally sat and watched the babies from outside their tractor. This is not one of my most friendly/cuddly girls normally, but she was so mellow this evening. I blew on her belly a bit just to be sure. I think she liked it... Alrighty, I may be off to bed again in a minute, but just wanted to post an update. - Ant Farm
Hi my broody hatched 2 babies. So cute..

Well, I caught up. Now off to bed.
Before I go I will do the post a recipe if you talk about food. A great summer dish we used to get at the ranch for lunch that stayed with you without slowing you down in the South Texas sun.
You will likely want to half this, but hear it is.
Leftover chicken and pasta salad.
The original called for several (4-6) leftover chicken breast. I usually use leftovers from a rotisserie chicken or whatever chicken I have chopped up or pulled apart into chunks.
1 box or regular and one box of garden rotini pasta
One bag of peas
One or two bags of California vegetables
1 bottle of buttermilk ranch dressing
Paprika and pepper to taste
Garlic optional (not around here garlic is one of the food groups)
It can be server with the noodles still warm or make it ahead and serve it chilled.
Chunk the chicken. Boil the pasta adding the frozen vegetables the last minute or so. Just long enough to thaw, but not cook them. Strain the pasta. Mix the pasta and the other ingredients in a large bowl (or just the pot you cooked the noodles in after draining them). Serve then or chilled.
For those of you who are from other places California vegetables are a sixteen ounce bag of a frozen mix of chunky broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots slices. You can choose your veggies.
Good night everyone. For those of you across the pond have a great day!
@Akrnaf2Would this be kosher?

Is it normal for them to flop around for a while like a fish out of water? It's almost like it still thinks it's in the egg.
